Teens Find a Big Loophole in the New Flavored Vaping Ban

I have been hearing from teens about Puffs (one of the brands of disposable e-cigarettes discussed in this article) for several months now, long before a flavor ban. Teens like the flavors and they like the price-- much more affordable than Juuls, Suorins and other popular refillable brands. The fact that disposable e-cigarettes are not covered under the flavor ban is just...bananas.

Parents Can Help Their Sleep-Deprived Teens

Hey parents! A new study from the University of Rochester showed that better enforcement of parent-set bedtimes for teens ages 14-17 are associated with longer sleep duration. In other words, if your kid isn't getting enough sleep, it may be time to help them prioritize an earlier bedtime. 50% of parents in the study had no specific bedtime rules. Most teens are not going to make sleep a priority, so help them out. I'm so grateful for the work of author Peggy Orenstein because she gets the importance of parents talking with their kids about sexuality, about porn, about the importance of emotions, communication and pleasure in sex. I know these are tricky waters to navigate, especially with teens who act like they would rather die than engage in such conversations, but we must. I can tell you from professional experience that the alternative isn't working. Read Orenstein's new book Boys & Sex, or at the minim
