I've spent a lot of time thinking, over the past year, about the pros and cons of going through puberty during a pandemic. Now that some kids are re-entering in-person school for the first time in 13 months, it's no surprise that they (or their peers) look a lot different since the last time they were on campus. The same supportive messages that have always helped are even more important today. Everyone goes through puberty differently and on their own time schedule. There is not a right or wrong way to do all this growing and developing. Here's a great piece about the unique set of challenges our pubertal kids are experiencing as they re-enter school.
