“HEY, WYD?”: Inside Teen Sexting

This is a truly fantastic piece on sexting, from Girls Leadership. Parents often have a difficult time discussing this topic with their teens, or they assume they don't need to because their child would "know better". My work with teens has led me to better understand the increasingly complicated and nuanced relationship between technology and sexuality. This is not a conversation for parents to shy away from, and as we approach these discussions, "it is essential to remember that adolescents need an environment free of judgement, guilt, and ultimatums if they are going to share with open honesty. As parents, we are most effective when we lead these conversations with real information, empathy, and curiosity."
