Parents Can Help Their Sleep-Deprived Teens

Hey parents!  A new study from the University of Rochester showed that better enforcement of parent-set bedtimes for teens ages 14-17 are associated with longer sleep duration.  In other words, if your kid isn't getting enough sleep, it may be time to help them prioritize an earlier bedtime. 50% of parents in the study had no specific bedtime rules.  Most teens are not going to make sleep a priority, so help them out.  Teens need 8-10 hours of sleep/ night for optimal functioning mood regulation, healthy metabolism and immunity, enhanced learning and creativity, and to minimize their risk of injuries and accidents.  SO...
